Nintendo opted out of a true E3 press conference once again, but delivered us a nice direct-to-consumer “Spotlight”.  After seeing Shigeru Miyamoto with Ubisoft showing off Mario + Rabbids, Nintendo is going to focus on mainly their major AAA titles like, Mario Odyssey, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and Splatoon 2.

Nintendo soared in to E3 with a sizzle reel highlighting the Switch before jumping in to their first trailer for Xenoblade Chronicles 2.  Which is a JRPG through and through.

Your favorite pink puff is coming back to Nintendo in Kirby (working title) for 2018.

After showing a little of Pokken Tournement, Tsunekazu Ishihara from The Pokémon Company announced that they were partnering with Game Freak to make a Pokémon RPG for Switch.

Then this happened….

Yes, Metroid Prime 4 was announced. Holy. Crap.

While trying to dry our eyes from the joy of Metroid Prime, Nintendo kept the tissues coming with Yoshi, a cute, fuzzy (but not wooly) platforming Yoshi game.

Breath of the Wild DLC was showcased with 2 new packs coming.  One this month (on the 30th), and another coming Holiday 2017. Pairing with the DLC called The Champions’ Ballad are four new Amiibos of the Champions.

Rocket League was announced for Switch with specialized tournaments and Mario hat customizations for your car.

Closing out the showcase was Super Mario Odyssey, dated for October.  Run through different lands with Cappy, your trusted confidant and hat.

After the showcase, Nintendo started their Treehouse, which showed us more gameplay of Super Mario Odyssey.

Then, this happened…

Two Metroid games announced!  Samus Returns is a reimagining of Metroid II: Return of Samus.
